Core Purpose

The Wellington Rowing Association is one of the 10 member associations comprising the New Zealand Rowing Association and shares the common purpose of fostering and promoting the sport of rowing in all its forms and classifications.

What we do

  •     Conduct regattas
  •     Provide coach development
  •     Provide officials development
  •     Secure funding
  •     Support the Wellington region's rowing clubs
  •     Promote the sport in district
  •     Welcome volunteers 
  •     Generally carry out duties assigned to it by the New Zealand Rowing Association including appointing a trustee for the Central Regional Performance Centre (CRPC) and liaising with and encouraging the development of the CRPC.
